Who are we?
We are a target archery club based in Wakefield West Yorkshire
Where and when do we shoot
Outdoor Season - In the summer between April and September The Wakefield Archers shoot on the playing fields at Slazenger's Sports Club, Horbury, Wakefield. There is no indoor shooting during this period.

Indoor Season - In the winter between September and April we shoot at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School (QEGS), Wakefield.
Outdoor shooting is available lunch times Wednesday between 12pm and 4.00pm at Slazengers Sports and Social Club Horbury throughout the year.

What are the shooting times?
During the Outdoor season the Club shoots on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Depending on weather conditions/light. Shooting begins from 6.30 pm until late.
During the Indoor season the Club shoots on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Shooting is between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
Who can shoot at the Club?
We welcome archers from others Clubs. who may shoot with us on payment of a £5 fee for the session. Anyone who shoots at the Club must be GNAS affiliated.
What type of bows are shot at the Club?
The Club has archers shooting Olympic recurve bows, compound bows and longbows. We welcome archers that also shoot other bow styles such as Hungarian, bare bow, American flat bow etc. However, we do not allow crossbows.
How does the Club run?
We run an open Club with an annually elected Committee; The Wakefield Archers is a non-profit making organisation, and our subscription fees help to pay the running costs of the Club.
What are the Club's associations?
We are associated with FITA, AGB. YAA nd NCAS
All Member subscriptions include those to the YAA , NCAS and AGB.
